Drastic Fantastic

drasticFantasticKT

It was October 2007 when Harry and I saw KT Tunstall live at the Corn Exchange in Edinburgh and yes she was FANTASTIC! I wanted to make a scrapbook page using my concert ticket , the CD cover (inside) and a few photos. I am hopeless at taking photos at these kind of events so I had to go on the scrounge. Many thanks to Martyn who very kindly gave me permission to use a few of his fabulous KT photos.
As I am setting this week CBC challenge – the theme is ‘just the ticket’ so pop in and join in with the challenge.

I also made this card as another idea for using a ticket. This card is for Stuart who will be 12 years old in a couple of weeks. The ticket is one from Carolyn’s downloads (I tweaked it a little but kept the overall design) .

Inks: Distress ink fired brick, Versafine onyx black
Card: Bo-Bunny Ella precocious, white, black
Stamps: Stampin up backgound canvas, Stampers anonymous Urban tapestry
Other: ticket, black brads

a sheer mess

mintWithaHole

I was going to be making a card for Carolyn’s challenge ‘sheer elegance’ using some sheer ribbon but Chiquo decided to go for a dig this morning! Harry had been digging the mint out that had started to spread and I hadn’t quite got around to putting the green plastic netting over the nicely raked surface so Chiquo decided to have a dig and the mud went everywhere!

This gives a new meaning to ‘the mint with a hole’. Chiquo is in the dog house now!

Sleepy cat black and white ATCs

sleepy cats B_W

Black and white is the theme for the UKstampers April ATC swap so I have gone with; the same stamp, same colours and the same embellishments but keeping each one unique.

Inks: versamark (with white opaque embossing powder), Brilliance graphite black, alcohol ink pitch black
Card: white glossy, plain black, plain white
Stamps: Michael Strong’s Cloisonné cat, Stampers anonymous Urban tapestry
Other: gelly stardust pens black and white, black gems, black feathers, black velour cord

I used compressed air on drops of black alcohol ink and glossy white card to make the black and white splatter background ( Tim Holtz technique) then randomly stamped the tiny splatters.
