Tag for ukstampers weekly challenge week 1

laceGlitter
I tried to prevent the glare from the acetate which meant I didn’t capture the effect of the glitter, not to mention the focus is all to pot!
This is the first tag for the UKstampers Rolling recipe tag challenge for 2010.  The recipe for this first tag is: a stamped image, lace and glitter.  The lace I have used is a scrap from my wedding dress.  The writing at the base says: Queen Anne’s lace (which is actually a wild carrot (Daucus carota), and the image is off it’s flower heads.
I stamped the image in pale plum onto the card then overlaid this with the same image in white ink stamped onto acetate.  The edges are white paint.
Inks:  Stampin up Pale plum, Versacolor white
Card:  Stampin up pale plum, acetate
Stamps:  Aspects of design 6 – Nature
Other:  lace, white glitter, eyelet, white paint

Edinburgh croppers scraplift challenge January

At the Edinburgh scrapper’s crop on Saturday I managed to finish my scraplift page for our Scraplift Challenge 2010.  Each month someone from the group chooses a scrap page for the group to scraplift from.
Pauline chose our first one: ‘End-of-a-perfect-day’ by gwyneth123.

and here is my interpretation: ‘Dig, dig, dig’ – the journalling says – ‘Gardening:  A leisure time activity involving a lot of  time and little leisure.’

Pop-up cube card

Edited: I have been informed that my link was wrong for IACW so I hope I have now fixed it.   Apologies to anyone who had difficulty in accessing the video – it is also on you tube ‘pop up cube in a wallet’ .

I found this cute little project over at IACW (in Jan 04, 2010 and scroll down to the video and templates) via ukscrappers forum so I had a go today. The pictures on the other sides are a stag and a Macintosh image.  This is to thank Mieko for her lovely card and gift that she sent us for New Year.

The cube is folded flat and has an elastic band in the centre so that it pops up when it is removed from it’s envelope.  You can see the video of how this is done using the link above.

Card: Stampin up selection and white card

Black and White ATCs

Happy New Year!
I wish you all the very best for this coming year and I would like to thank you for all your comments you have been kind enough to leave over the past year. I get inspiration from visiting other crafter’s blogs so I hope in sharing my crafty work (and my mistakes) that my blog gives some inspiration and tips to others too.

This is the my first blog entry of 2010. It is soooo cold just now and my craft room is the coldest room in the house so I haven’t been doing much in it recently.

Here are my 3 ATCs for the ukstampers swap – this month’s theme is black and white with a twist: the twist being that we have to make a tag too. Now I have just kept to the black and white theme for my tag and there is also a floral thing going on in them all too (not intentional at all!). The doll ATC was inspired by Gail Milburn’s article in the Craft stamper mag Feb 2010 issue.
