ATCs Element – Wind

elements_windSml
Today I made these two ATCs for the UKstampers Sunday Challenge No. 22 the theme is Elements: make two ATCs using the same colour palette but different stamps.
I chose the weather element WIND.

Inks: Archival coffee, Adirondack woodlands, ColorBox ice blue chalk ink
Colouration: Prismas; reds, browns, yellows, oranges and greens (and Sansodor)
Stamps: windswept tree silhouette, Fall commuters, nature quote (aspects of design 25 rambling1), small twig and leaves, birds, free leaf stamp

I added a few cut out leaves around the edges of the House mouse one and some small cut out leaves to form a pile in the windswept tree ATC.

Fungi scrapbook page

bracketFungiSml

So I have finally managed a scrapbook page using the napkin method demoed by Pam (thanks Pam) at the Edinburgh scrappers crop ages ago. Even though I used mat mod podge it is still rather glossy, hence the bright patches in this picture.

Inks: Adirondack woodlands, Archival ink coffee
Stamps: Stampin up pocket silhouettes, Tracy Dutton mushroom stamps from Lavinia stamps
Card stock: stampin up; creamy caramel, chocolate chip, sage shadow
Charms: dragonfly from Crafts by Carolyn, mushroom from ebay
Materials: napkin from a napkin swap, mat mod podge

Take a 3 ply napkin and peel the layer with the image on it from the other 2 layers. Roughly cut out the patterned bits you wish to use and paste mod podge on the areas of your page where you want to put the napkin. Gently lay the napkin on the mod podge and squidge it around to create a little texture. leave it to dry and paste a little more mod podge over it. It goes semi-transparent so you can still see what lies beneath it.

Old_NewSml
These two tags were made for the UK stampers Sunday challenge No.21. To make two tags on the theme Old and New, use as many stamps as you like but one of them had to be used on both tags.

Stamps: Paperartsy plates 4, 5 and 6,

CBC Bookmark swap

bookmarkEnd

I made these today for the CBC bookmark swap and they also fit the CBC Crew Challenge Pens, pencils and paint.

Ink: white stazon
Pens/pencils: Prisma pencils, copper pen and Sakura gelly roll glitter pens
Materials: black card, gold eyelet, black ribbon, tube cloisonné beads, laminate
Stamps: Oriental bookmark stamps from Graphicus

Just stamp the bookmarks in white (on black card) and colour the white parts with Prismas and pens. use a water brush to lightly brush a glittery effect over parts (sakura pens scribbled onto paper and pick up the glitter using water brush) then laminate, punch a whole for eyelet, add ribbon and beads.

ATC swap theme METAL

The following ATCs were made for the UKstampers January ATC swap and this months theme is METAL.

This ATC is made from black metal and is stamped and some of the dotty circles are pierced.

Ink: white stazon, black pen
Stamps: from stampin up
Black metal sheets and white card

Metal art

metalArtBrighter

I made a few mistakes with this one. I tried to spray gold webbing spray onto metal but it didn’t stick so I then sprayed the metal with uhu glue first and then the gold webbing and this worked a bit better.

Inks and colours: pesto spray, gold webbing spray, red and green pens for glass
Stamp: Celtic swirls (Heritage Rubber stamp co.)
Materials: silver coloured metal, red/copper wire, green beads, gold and silver micro beads, green/brown fluffy fibre

Ghost swirls

ghostSwirls

Finally I had a few hours to do a bit of crafting today. After flicking through my mum’s new book, Magenta Style Paper Magic, I was inspired to try some ghost stamping.

Inks: white Stazon, Colorbox chalk lime pastel and rouge, Versafine onyx black, Stampin’ up mellow moss
Stamps: swirls from Dovecraft fantasy emblems and dragon flies (unknown)

Hell’s Angels

The heading was generated on the computer in Old English Text, the MC is stamped in red stazon with silver highlights.

Lacy Christmas tree card

embossedTree

Well I have just spent a couple of hours cleaning the kitchen so there is not a crumb any where so I thought I deserved a little craft time. Here is another card for the CBC Christmas challenge a day; day two. The challenge is to use colours red, green and gold.

Here I have had a wee play with some gold webbing spray. It actually looks great on darker colours but it isn’t too bad on pale green.

Ink: colorbox chalk ink lime pastel
Paper: stampin up summer picnic
Embossing folder: cutlebug Lace Christmas tree (run through a wizard)
Krylon gold webbing spray
gold/green coloured gems
gold star
red ribbon

November ATC swap

vintageVetvet

I finally finished my ATCs for the CBC swap, the theme this month was vintage or velvet so I incorporated both. The gold leafing was done first by running the blank card through a xyron then dunking the sticky side onto the gold leaf. I then took a stiff brush and brushed off the excess gold leaf. Parts of the ribbon were coloured with brown permanent pen. The velvet bit it the brown material cut from an old top, and the vintage parts are pictures.
