Whit a scunner tae be a hunner card

Here is my entry into the CBC crew challenge CBC00100. The them is one hundred as this will be the hundredth challenge. The lorgnettes are made to look like the number 100 and ‘a hunner’ is Scots for ‘one hundred’. The prize is a couple of templates kindly donated by WS Designs. (the telephone box and DL envelope templates). Thank you everyone who voted for my card.

Inks: Archival coffee, watercolour pencils to colour image
Card: White, green textured, orange vellum, Bo-Bunny Beau jardin poppy
Stamps: free Sugar Nellie owl stamp with Craft stamper magazine
Other: googly eyes, hand made lorgnettes, sketched on branch and walking stick, flowers, white highlighting pen, computer generated text

Here is my entry to Carolyn’s challenge – cafe culture. The photo was a strange colour in the first place as it was a very bright sunny day and we are all sitting outside a Belgian cafe. The Grand Prix circuit at Spa-Francorchamps is situated in beautiful surroundings and the riders have to contend with steep hills and forests (creating dark and bright areas) and it uses part of the main road too. We had wonderful weather, race day was especially glorious, and we had a fabulous holiday but this is the only photo I have to remember it by.

Inks: Adirondack woodlands, Versafine onyx black, Brilliance pearlescent ivy
Card: white, Bo-Bunny Beau jardin bleu, dark green
Stamps: Dimensional Forth Ltd. Motorcycle racers, stampin up Loads of love (tree) and background sanded
Other: images: Stella Artois and circuit map from web, ribbon and brads

Drastic Fantastic

It was October 2007 when Harry and I saw KT Tunstall live at the Corn Exchange in Edinburgh and yes she was FANTASTIC! I wanted to make a scrapbook page using my concert ticket , the CD cover (inside) and a few photos. I am hopeless at taking photos at these kind of events so I had to go on the scrounge. Many thanks to Martyn who very kindly gave me permission to use a few of his fabulous KT photos.
As I am setting this week CBC challenge – the theme is ‘just the ticket’ so pop in and join in with the challenge.

Inks: Distress inks fired brick and peeled paint
Card: Bo-Bunny’s back to backs My darling blooms and Ella precocious, scan of CD cover, white

I also made this card as another idea for using a ticket. This card is for Stuart who will be 12 years old in a couple of weeks. The ticket is one from Carolyn’s downloads (I tweaked it a little but kept the overall design) .
