Paisley art journal page

I have been looking closer to home for inspiration for my art journal and found that I am quite partial to the Paisley pattern.  Mum sent me a few samples of her paisley paper and Harry has a few Paisley ties, scarves and neckerchiefs, I have some Paisley papers too along with cushion covers, scarves and tops.  They are all quite different and if you have a look in wikepedia you find that it is a popular pattern style all over the world.

I made my Paisley art journal double page nice and bright using an idea from Sandy Steen’s Zentangle workout book along with the inspiration form all these papers and fabrics.  I might add more journalling to it later.

I used:  Dylusions spray inks Amber, Postbox red, Worn leather, Vanilla, and Cyan, Glimmer mist Cherry limeade. Prisma pencils with Sansador,  highlighter pens, black Pitt pen, white pen, flower border stencil, decoupage tissue, a few card cut-out Paisley bits, Stickles lime.

  1. That’s a scrumptious homage to paisley – and I’ve got one of those Zentangle books too! Inspirational aren’t they … not to mention mildly hypnotic!
